FAQs

What is the Imagination Library?

The Imagination Library provides free books each month to children ages newborn to five years old. Click “Learn More” at the top of the page to read about Dolly’s inspiration to start the program and for more details about the Imagination Library.

When will my child receive his or her first book?

Once enrolled, the first book will typically arrive two months after you sign up. The Imagination Library is a large, multinational organization, so it may take a little while to get a new address into the system. Once you get the first book, a new book will come regularly every month until your child’s fifth birthday.

Do you accept books for donation?

All of the books provided by the Imagination Library are new and mailed directly from the Imagination Library facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. We do not accept donated materials at this time.

What is Bridge to Books?

Bridge to Books is the exclusive Imagination Library affiliate for the greater Stillwater area. Each Imagination Library program must be supported by a local organization that covers the costs associated with the program, enrolls local kids, and promotes the program in the area. That’s our job, and we’re happy to do it!

How do I enroll the little ones in my life?

If the child lives in the Stillwater School District and is between newborn and five, you can sign up by clicking here.

How is this program funded?

Bridge to Books relies solely on the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and foundations in the greater Stillwater community. The program was established in partnership with the Founding Supporters listed here. To make a donation, please click “Donate Now,'“ above.

How much does it cost to enroll?

It costs absolutely nothing to enroll your little one in the program! Donation is completely optional and in no way required to receive books through the program. If you would like to help us cover the expenses of the program, it costs $25 to provide one year of books to a child in our community.

What if my family is experiencing homelessness? Can I still enroll?

Absolutely. Your family does not need a permanent address to sign up for the Imagination Library. Your child must be living within the bounds of the Stillwater School District and have an address where he or she can receive mail. The books will be addressed to your child directly, so please make sure the mail carrier has been informed that your child can receive mail at the address provided.

I don’t live in the Stillwater School District. How do I find out if the Imagination Library operates near me?

If you are not in the coverage area of Bridge to Books, you can search to see if the program is available in your area by clicking here.
